Emily Simpson Gina Kirschenheiter Kelly Dodd Shannon Beador Tamra Judge The Real Housewives of Orange County - RHOC Vicki Gunvalson

RHOC Recap: Rumors

Rumor has it…this week’s episode of the Real Housewives of Orange County was a yawn.

So, let’s break down this week’s episode as quickly and as painlessly as possible!

Emily Simpson

Emily Simpson thought she was just opening up to her new friends but what she didn’t realize was that she was starting rumors about herself! During dinner at Shannon Beador’s Emily opened up to ladies about her husband Shane yelling at Gina and throwing her out of their house following poker night. Emily explains that Shane wasn’t happy with Gina’s noisy, drunk antics and wanted her out. While Emily doesn’t seem appalled by Shane’s actions Shannon, Tamra Judge, and Kelly Dodd were.

The drama between Emily and Gina continues when they drive to Happy Hour together. While Gina hopes to squash the drama so she doesn’t embarrass Emily’s husband she does think Shane could have handled the situation more gracefully and thinks he owes her an apology. However, Gina makes it clear that will NEVER happen.

Shannon Beaodor

This week Shannon shoots photos for her Real for Real Cusine food line. While Shannon looks great she’s still worried she looks too fat in the pictures and vows to continue her weight loss journey. Shannon wants to wow, in a good way, the next time she takes her top off in front of someone. After the photoshoot, Tamra Judge, Kelly Dodd, and Emily Simpson come over to Shannon’s for dinner. The ladies discuss Shannon’s ongoing battle with her husband David Beador; revealing that David won’t hire a lawyer so it’s impossible for them to settle support payments.  Shannon says she wants to keep the lifestyle she’s grown accustomed to and needs to get support because raising three kids in California is expensive. Kelly tells Shannon, “Spousal maintenance is where you really get the money.” We also learn that David accused Shannon of excessive drinking and called their 17-year marriage hell.

Speaking of taking her clothes off, during happy hour the ladies push Shannon to meet with a matchmaker. Despite Shannon revealing she’s indifferent to David she confesses she’s not sure she’s ready to date. Tamra divulges all about Shannon’s difficult relationship with David and while Shannon looks uncomfortable and scared shitless by the end of the meeting she seems excited about the prospect of finding a new man.

Shannon also heads to court with her soon-to-be-ex-husband David to discuss spousal and child support as part of their ongoing divorce proceedings. However, things don’t go as expected. Shannon scores a whopping $30,000 a month in support much to David’s dismay. Not surprisingly David is furious and freaks out on Shannon and her lawyer. Shannon then asks the judge to lower the support payment to $22, 500 a month to be fair.

Tamra Judge

From the looks of it, Tamra and Vicki Gunvalson are back to being best friends. The ladies go to get microblading together and to talk about the other women’s husbands. Tamra and Vicki can’t believe that Emily’s husband yelled at Gina and they can’t believe that Gina’s husband lives in Los Angeles all week. They also find it odd that Gina’s never been to her husband’s Los Angeles apartment. Glass houses ladies.

Kelly Dodd

Kelly Dodd goes on a date with the milkman aka Frank and basically gets told if she doesn’t change her intense dating patterns she’s going to end up alone. Ouch.

Besides, that Kelly talked about Emily’s husband Shane being a Mormon with Vicki. The two dished on how they couldn’t be married to a Mormon because they can’t curse, drink, or gamble.

Vicki Gunvalson

The highlight of Vicki’s storyline this episode was the announcement that she’s franchising COTO Insurance. Vicki, her business partners, boyfriend Steve, and son Michael head into the studio to record a voice over for a radio commercial. Somehow or another Fireball gets passed around and everyone’s doing shots. The Fireball quickly goes to Vicki’s head and she starts talking about blowjobs much to the chagrin of her son, Michael, who admits he’s used to Vicki embarrassing him. Cue the montage of all the times Vicki’s embarrassed Michael while on RHOC.

Gina Kirschenheiter
Gina Kirschenheiter finds herself in middle of some major drama this week but isn’t taking the bait. After Vicki and Emily leave happy hour, Gina is bombarded with questions about the end of poker night. Despite the ladies trying to egg Gina on by saying Emily told them Shane flipped out on her, Gina downplays it and says Shane simply asked her to leave. Gina says that Emily was embarrassed by Shane’ behavior that night and says she’s not going to make this into a big thing. The ladies, on the other hand, begin to question what type of man/husband Shane is, even though they’ve never met him. However, Gina defends Shane and says she’s going to give him the benefit of the doubt.

That’s all folks. Join us next for a hopefully more drama filled episode of RHOC!
