Is it too good to be true, to have Carole Radziwill on The View?!
Carole Radziwill is leaving The Real Housewives of New York City. Ever since the news broke that Carole was departing the RHONY, people have been wondering what she is going to do next. One rumor swirling around is that Carole is joining The View. It would make sense since she has a background in journalism and broadcast media. Carole has made it known that she’s now going to focus more on writing and producing again. However; it turns out that Carole will NOT be joining The View!
Carole recently took to Twitter to set the record straight. Carole tweeted, “Lol..how rumors start. I was having lunch with my old ABC News pal from my days with Peter Jennings and people just start talking nonsense. I watch The View and I’ve been a guest but that is not the direction I’m heading. Stay tuned.”

Carole had hinted at some of her upcoming projects after she first announced that she will not be returning to RHONY. “After six seasons on Bravo’s RHONYC, I have decided to return to what I do best — journalism and producing. I am sure this does not come as a surprise to any of the viewers, all of whom have been supportive, encouraging, and kind. My original curiosity about reality television has waned over the years and I am focusing on TV and writing projects that better suit my more steady temperament,” she told The Daily Dish. Carole added, “I have worked with amazing producers, made great friends, and I’m thrilled to leave frenemies behind. I will remember this entire experience with delight, humor, and a veracious accuracy. Next.”
Carole is an author and has books out. (Remember ‘book gate’ on the RHONY when Aviva Dresher was also still on the show?) Carole first scored an internship at ABC News in 1988, which kicked off her career. Carole worked with Peter Jennings’ documentary unit and the newsmagazine shows Primetime Live and 20/20. All of that hard work earned her three Emmy Awards, a Robert F. Kennedy Humanitarian Award, and a GLAAD Award.
I’m excited to see what the future holds for Carole! As someone who works in journalism, broadcast media, and news – I relate to her and have the same passion for it. I agree that the pace of the RHONY was not for her, and these other endeavors suit her much better. It’s a better fit for her personality and lifestyle. I’m going to miss seeing her on the show, though. Who knows – maybe she will get her curiousity for reality TV back! I’m hoping Carole will still make appearances as a friend on the show.
