Say goodbye to Ashley Jacobs and Thomas Ravenel on Southern Charm!
Ashley Jacobs has officially confirmed that she and Thomas Ravenel have broken up. Their split comes after dating for over a year. The two appeared on Southern Charm together, where they had a lot of drama with Thomas’ ex, and mother of his children, Kathryn Dennis. Although Kathryn still has a starring role on Southern Charm, Thomas and Ashley will not be returning. Recently it was reported that Thomas was fired, but was told to say he quit. This news comes after he was banned from the SC reunion and is still currently under investigation for sexual abuse allegations. Ashley recently talked about the split on Instagram Live.
According to People magazine, she said, “I don’t want to comment but there are just some things I’m trying to handle privately. Before I say too much, I love Thomas and I’ll always love Thomas. I’ll always care about him.” They first met in California, where Ashley is from. Last year she moved from CA to Charleston to be with Thomas. Ashley attended the reunion taping to defend herself, as well as Thomas. However; now the nurse is figuring out what her future looks like without him. She said, “I’m still trying to work it out, not work out getting back together, but I’m still trying to figure it out. I think everyone’s been through breakups before but it’s hard. It’s not easy. Sometimes you just want to stay quiet and figure out what the next move in your life is going to be. I’m just trying to take care of myself the best way that I can.”
I had a feeling that Thomas and Ashley would call it quits. I didn’t think that they would be returning to Southern Charm either. A lot of people (and viewers) cannot get past a lot of the harsh comments that Ashley made on the show. I hope she takes this time to reflect on everything. I think she should continue nursing, I think that working in a field that is involved with helping people will do her good!
