Luann de Lesseps, star of The Real Housewives of New York, checked back into rehab for the second time this year at Silver Hill Hospital in New Canaan, Connecticut. Luann entered an alcohol treatment program after her December arrest in Palm Beach, Florida. Silver Hill is a celebrity hotspot, and has been for years. The RHONY star is working on getting sober. Her fellow co-stars have been super supportive. For decades, Silver Hill Hospital has been a place for celebs to get back to a healthy life. Stars go there to get sober or to help deal with emotional issues. It helps them get back to a healthy frame of mind. It’s been reported that Mariah Carey, Nick Nolte and Liza Minnelli have all spent time there.
According to Page Six, CC Sabathia spent time there in 2015, and the cost for a 28-day addiction program was reportedly $37,100. After suffering an emotional and physical breakdown, Mariah Carey spent time at Silver Hill Hospital in 2001. It is well known that icon Judy Garland, struggled with an addiction to amphetamines and barbiturates for a lot of her life. She visited Silver Hill over the years for treatment. Pop icon, Michael Jackson, had checked-in to Silver Hill in 1993. He participated in a 12-step program to treat his addiction to prescription drugs. Nick Nolte checked into Silver Hill Hospital after being arrested for driving under the influence of GHB in 2002. Billy Joel went to Silver Hill in 2002 for a personal problem he had developed.
Catherine Zeta-Jones, Truman Capote, Rita Hayworth, Gregg Allman, and other celebs have also spent time at Silver Hill.
I’m glad that Luann is getting the help that she needs. It seems like Silver Lake is a really good center to get better!
