The Real Housewives are known for drama on their own franchise, however; sometimes the drama crosses over between different cities. Kenya Moore of The Real Housewives of Atlanta, and Karen Huger of The Real Housewives of Potomac, have recently had some words with one another on Twitter. It all started when Kenya of the RHOA was watching an episode of the RHOP. On the episode Gizelle Bryant gave Karen Huger some shade for not wearing her wedding ring during their trip to Cannes. She was insinuating that she was having marriage troubles. However; Karen insists that she was robbed on vacation before so she does not wear her wedding ring while traveling. It turns out that Kenya and Karen have this in common! Kenya revealed that like Karen, she doesn’t wear her expensive wedding ring while traveling abroad.
They could have bonded over this, but instead they got into a bit of a tiff on Twitter. Kenya was watching and had missed part of it, so she asked some questions about what was going on between Gizelle and Karen to her Twitter followers. Twitter users filled her in and Kenya said, “I don’t wear my engagement ring when I travel abroad either.” Then Karen and cast member Candiace Dillard had some words on the show. Karen said that Candiace shouldn’t brag about her privileged upbringing. Karen stated, “I know that you’re a pageant girl and you’re very proud of that. You should be. But the way you present it in the conversation, you’ll say, ‘Well, Chris is upset with me because I can walk through the airport, everyone knows me! And Chris has just got to adjust!’ Now, I’m embellishing, but that is how it comes across to everyone.” Then Karen said, “We all are pageant queens in our own right.” Karen went on to say that Candiace has a lot more to offer too. Karen said, “But we don’t say it. What is special about you? Because there’s so much more. There’s so much more to you than that. You can’t tell me that’s it.”
This left Kenya, Miss USA of 1993, feeling some type of way. Kenya feels that not everyone does earn the title. Kenya tweeted, “Karen, really… how???” Karen responded, thanking Kenya for the “pageantry attention.”
However; Kenya was feeling Ashley Darby’s hair!
There is never a dull moment with the RHOA and the RHOP. I’m a fan of both of the franchises. I’m sure Kenya and Karen will get over it. I think that Karen was trying to say that everyone is special in their own way, and every female is a Queen. Kenya actually has a pageant title so she took it as Karen taking away the meaningfulness of the tiara. I don’t think Karen meant it that way. I do get where Kenya is coming from though. However; I think everyone is beautiful and special in their own way. We are all unique. Be-you-tiful!
