The Real Housewives of Orange County are back!
It’s the season for the RHOC. Newbies of The Real Housewives of Orange County, Emily Moore Simpson and her husband Shane Simpson, appear to be a happy couple. Emily keeps busy as a lawyer and party planner, as well as being a wife and mother. The RHOC is known for its drama. However; it seems that Emily and her husband Shane have had their fair share of drama in the past. According to court documents, Emily’s husband Shane was accused of drug use and sexually, physically and emotionally abusing his ex-wife during their divorce in 2008. Emily and Shane got married on Valentine’s Day in 2009. They have a daughter, Anabelle, and also have twin boys, Luke and Keller.
According to Radar Online, Shane’s ex-wife Miriam, wrote about his drug use and abuse. She wrote in the documents, “He was physically abusive to me. He was sexually abusive to me.” She also claimed that he had an addiction to prescription pills. She said all of the “stress” took a toll on her health and led her to “near death.” She said, “He made me feel trapped and hopeless as a result of excessive control and lack of liberties placed upon me. Because of all the aforementioned abuse, stress, and circumstances, I became physically ill after months of diagnostic tests, blood transfusions, and other medical procedures, not only was I diagnosed with blood disorders caused by stress, my body was what seems to be near death and I had no choice but to leave.”
Shane denied all of the allegations. He claimed that his fist wife of nine years, took their two daughters from Orange County to Utah without giving him notice. Shane put in his declaration, “In November 2007, Mother (Miriam) went to Utah with our children for the Thanksgiving weekend and never returned to California. She filed for a dissolution of our marriage. At that time, Mother refused to allow me visitation with our children. For approximately one month after she moved to Utah, I did not know where our children were and was not allowed to visit with them.”
Apparently they are now on “amicable” terms. A insider of the RHOC said that Shane and his ex now are on better terms and share 50/50 custody of their daughters. The source said, “This was years ago, and this is all behind them. They all get along great now.” Apparently Miriam even went to one of Emily and Shane’s children’s birthday parties recently.
There is no shortage of drama when it comes to the RHOC. I’m glad Emily and her husband Shane are on better terms now with his ex-wife and children. They seem like a fun and loving couple. I’m excited the RHOC are back on now! Stay tuned for a wild season, loves!
