We all know that Andy Cohen is king of getting the dirt, but does he have ambitions of becoming a different type of powerhouse?
According to Page Six , a very persistent Andy Cohen helped clean the streets of the West Village after a string of “obsessive trash rants” that resulted in a massive garbage clean up on a “chichi West Village block where he walks his dog.”
A thrilled Cohen was pleased that he was able to influence a small part of a city clean up and states: “This is the most I’ve accomplished in a bit… What am I gonna complain about now? What’s my next goal?” Cohen said in an Instagram story Monday. “I might run for mayor! What the f-k is de Blasio doing anyway?”
After taking a poll from his followers, 89 percent said he should run for mayor.
The face of Bravo had been complaining about garbage in his area for months, updating his social media followers about what he described as a “dump” and “junkyard.” Neighbors agreed with Cohen and also chimed in to complain.
After Andy’s complaints were picked up by the press, the landlord purchased garbage enclosures with flower beds to give the area more curb appeal.
Andy is best known for pop culture and getting the dirt on celebs so I don’t foresee politics in his future. I’m sure he was just joking but in an industry where the lines of politics and entertainment are blurred, who knows what Andy has in store for his future?
