A MAJOR win for Shannon Beador!
Shannon and David Beador went to court on Monday, July 9th to battle it out over spousal support but that never happened.
Back in March, a judge temporarily ordered David to pay Shannon $10,500 a month in spousal support an amount that David said would bankrupt him.
However, when the former RHOC couple met in court on July 9th David did not challenge the spousal support amount as expected.
Shockingly David agreed to continue paying Shannon $10,500 a month in spousal support along with $12,000 a month in child support.
David also will be footing the bill for Shannon’s $10,000 lawyer fees.
So, why the sudden turnaround?
Well, Shannon’s lawyer, John Benedict Phillips, explained at the hearing that “both sides, as well as the forensic accountant, agreed to meet with a retired judicial officer, who will preside over a mediation hearing to hash out the details.”
If David and Shannon cannot come to an agreement they will be back in court on October 15.
After the hearing on Monday, David spoke to Radar Online telling them he’s doing “fantastic” and hopes he and Shannon can reach an agreement before October 15.
“It’s all going to wash itself out. I just want whats best for our kids. Divorce is never fun and it’s hardest on the kids, but they seem to be moving along. I look forward to when this is over. I think we both do,” David explained.
Wow. I am shocked that David seems to be doing the right this in this situation. Perhaps David isn’t as bad of a guy as we’ve made him out to be. I think David and Shannon want to make this super easy for their kids. I hope David and Shannon can come to an agreement and happily move on.
Thoughts on David’s statement? Are you surprised David didn’t challenge Shannon’s spousal support amount? Do you think David and Shannon can come to an agreement before October 15? Do you think David is trying to do what’s best for his kids? Sound off below!
