Katharine McPhee doesn’t care what you think of her relationship with David Foster.
The 34-year-old singer and actress told off trolls as they criticized her recent engagement to the 68-year-old music man.
“Y’all should be worrying more about registering to vote and midterm elections than who’s marrying me,” the Katharine tweeted on Friday, July 6. “Thank you for coming to my TED talk.”
While many fans congratulated Katharine on her engagement others took a different approach and bashed her relationship.
“Well, apparently you have no self worth and are now engaged to a creepy old man. There’s that. #sogross #henasty #nowyounastytoo,” one follower wrote.
Another added: “The news that you’re marrying a really really old guy.”
However, Katharine wasn’t the only one shutting down trolls. Her die-hard fans also jumped into action and defended her on social media.
Katharine thanked fans for defending her and dragging the trolls for her.
“Ok my fans have been making SEVERAL points in my mentions and i’ve loved reading all your comments. thanks for defending me & doing all this dragging lol. love you all,” Katharine tweeted on Sunday, July 8th.

Katharine and David got engaged last week during a trip to Italy. The music man popped the question on a mountain in Anacapri, Italy.
If Katharine’s happy and doesn’t care of their age difference then why should we? She’s always like older men. Her first husband was in his 40’s when they married.
