Over the weekend, the Real Housewives of Atlanta were spotted filming in Miami with the exception of one major cast member, who was noticeably absent.
NeNe Leakes, Porsha Williams, Marlo Hampton, Cynthia Bailey, and new full-time Housewife Eva Marcille were spotted filming a dinner at Novikov for season 11.
The ladies were in town to support NeNe’s fashion show and the opening of her new store, Swagg Boutique.
Noticeably missing from the cast was Kenya Moore, who’s season 11 role is still up in the air. Some say Kenya’s been fired, others claim she’s been demoted to a friend of the Housewives. Meanwhile, Kenya says it’s full-time or nothing. Only time will tell what the truth is.
The publication also reports that Kenya’s RHOA contract is set to expire on June 30th, 2018 and that she hasn’t signed a new deal for season 11.
“Kenya’s status as a ‘friend’ is in jeopardy because she is holding up the deal,” an insider snitched to Radar.
The reason for the holdup seems to be the fine print of Kenya’s new contract which isn’t as lucrative as her past ones.
“Kenya was told she would have to take a drastic pay cut and there was no guarantee about how many episodes she would appear in, or if she would appear in any at all,” the source explained.
Kenya is said to have made $1.5 million for season 10 of RHOA but was fined $125,000 for refusing to film with her new husband, Marc Daly.
In fact, some think it’s too little too late for Kenya as sources claim Bravo is willing to move on without her.
“At this point, the show is ready to move along without her at all,” the source revealed.“Bringing Kenya back full-time would be useless. Her pregnancy timeline conflicts with the production schedule. She said she’s due in November/December but production wraps in October.”
