When season 13 of the Real Housewives of Orange County premieres on July 16 at 9 p.m. fans will FINALLY get to meet the two new Housewives!
While we have to wait until then to really get to get know the new additions to the cast it doesn’t mean we can’t discuss what we do know now!
Joining the RHOC cast for season 13 are newbies Emily Simpson and Gina Kirschenheiter.
Emily is a 42-year-old Ohio transplant who works double duty as an attorney and part-time party planner. She also happens to be a mom of five, yes you read that right – 5!
“A lot of women don’t have to work, but when I throw the attorney thing in there, I’m like ‘No, girl. I’m not your typical Housewife,’ ” Emily says in the season 13 trailer.
The mom of five has two children from her husband Shane’s previous marriage as well as three kids together who all happen to be under the age of five. Yikes sounds like a handful!
Like several other Housewives before her Emily was unable to carry her twins due to fertility issues so instead she used a surrogate who just so happened to be her sister.
Meanwhile, Gina is a 34-year-old mom of three, who are also all under the age of five. Gina has only been living in the OC for three years and originally hails from Long Island, New York.
“I am Orange County until I open my mouth and it’s like, ‘Here I am, world,’ ” Gina says.
The two new Housewives are rumored to stir things up on the RHOC. They also bring plenty of baggage with them – some personal and some with current OC cast members.
Other sources claim that Emily is already too big for her britches despite being the new girl on the block.
“She already acts like she owns the show and the world revolves around her,” one source says. “She doesn’t stand for anyone’s shit.’”
As for Gina, she’s struggling with basically being a single mom as her husband lives and works in Los Angeles during the week. Throughout the season Gina struggles as she re-evaluates her marriage and we hear that she and her husband ultimately end the season deciding to divorce.
However, it turns out that Gina may not be as interesting as we all hope she is.
“Gina is actually quite boring and she doesn’t really mesh well with the others. She is trying to hard and a lot of her scenes needed to be cut out because she simply isn’t that interesting,” a source revealed.
Welcome to the drama, Gina and Emily! Hope you’re both ready for the wild ride that is Real Housewives!
