The Southern Charm saga continues!
The cast of Southern Charm has filmed the reunion, and although Thomas Ravenel didn’t attend – his girlfriend Ashley Jacobs did. There has been a lot press about this because Thomas has recently had a lot of sexual assault claims surface. Due to this he was not invited to tape the reunion. However; his girlfriend Ashley still attended. She stayed in a separate hotel from the rest of the cast, per her request. This reunion is sure to be good, Andy Cohen even said on Watch What Happens Live, “I taped the Southern Charm reunion today and it was intensely dramatic which is why I have droopy everything tonight. Ashley was there. It was really something.”
According to Page Six, sources said, “We’re told Jacobs didn’t discuss the investigation into the sexual assault claims against Ravenel, instead focusing her time on defending her relationship and fighting off rumors that she is an escort or gold digger.” There was, of course, tension with co-star, Kathryn Dennis, who is the ex of Thomas and is also his baby mama. Apparently, when they discussed the infamous Hilton Head scene where Thomas and Ashley snuck off to a bathroom together during a cast party, “Jacobs insisted that she was looking for privacy to talk to Ravenel, while the cast insisted that it looked like they had a public rendezvous.” Ashley also discussed her weight loss, and chalked it up to being due to the stress of life. However; she told Andy she wants to get healthier.
This reunion seems like it will be one for the books! I definitely want to watch this one. I’m not surprised that Ashley is not discussing the sexual assault allegations against her boyfriend, Thomas. However; it does seem as though she went to the reunion to defend them both. It certainly will be interesting to see how it plays out. It appears as if she is standing by her man through all of this. I’m glad Ashley is sticking up for herself, I feel bad that the rest of the cast is against her and I hope she gets healthy. We’ll have to tune in!
