4 Real Housewives Vow Renewals That Turned Out To Be Total Regrets!

During the past 13 years of Real Housewives, we’ve seen marriages start, end, and attempt to mend.

In fact, several Real Housewives couples have tried to save their marriages with over the top vow renewals.

However, in the end, those vow renewals did very little to keep the couples together.

So, let’s take a look at 4 Real Housewives vow renewals that turned out to be total regrets.

Shannon Beador and David Beador – Real Housewives of Orange County

This OC couple is the latest to fall victim to the vow renewal curse. David’s infidelity rocked his marriage to Shannon during season 10 but with divorce not an option at the time for Shannon she forgave David and entered intense counseling to work on their marriage. For a while, things seemed to be looking up for David and Shannon who happily renewed their vows in 2016. However, Shannon and David’s happily ever after was short-lived as the couple became increasingly estranged during season 12 ultimately forcing Shannon to file for divorce.

Cynthia Bailey and Peter Thomas – Real Housewives of Atlanta

The Real Housewives of Atlanta couple renewed their vows in 2012 during a cast trip to Anguilla after their “borderline disaster” wedding in 2010. Peter planned out the surprise vow renewal leaving Cynthia blown away by the gesture. At the time Cynthia gushed about the event calling it “the most romantic wedding any woman could ever want or dream of.” However, in the end, the couple couldn’t make it work and finalized their divorce in March 2017.

Ramona Singer and Mario Singer – Real Housewives of New York

This reality TV couple proves that vow renewals don’t work even if you’ve been married for more than two decades. Back in 2009, the Real Housewives of New York couple celebrated 17 years of marriage by walking down the aisle for the second time. Ramona and Mario invited 70 of their closest friends and family to the Pierre Hotel and publicly proclaimed their love for each other. At the time Ramona defended the vow renewal saying “It wasn’t done as a fluff thing…You could feel the love between my husband and I.” A mere three years later Ramona would find out that Mario was unfaithful with a 20-something. The couple’s divorce was finalized in 2016.

Vicki Gunvalson and Donn Gunvalson – Real Housewives of Orange County

Not surprisingly the OG Housewife and her husband Donn kicked off the Real Housewives vow renewal trend. Back then the couple celebrated their 15th wedding anniversary by saying ‘I Do’ all over again. Vicki and Donn promised to leave the past in the past and start anew during a sunset ceremony in Turks & Caicos. Unfortunately, the OC couple’s vows didn’t hold much weight as Vicki filed for divorce less than a year later. Vicki later admitted that she regretted ending her marriage to Donn.

I think Housewives should rethink public vow renewals especially if they already have rocky marriages.

Thoughts on these failed Housewives vow renewals? Which of these Real Housewives divorces were you most upset over? Which of these vow renewals was your favorite? Do you believe these vow renewals were authentic?
