They say time heals all wounds but that’s not the case for Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star Kyle Richards.
In a new interview with PEOPLE, Kyle reveals that she’s still reeling from the burglary on her Encino, CA home last December.
“I’ve played it over and over again in my mind,” Kyle confessed. “It was awful.”
If you don’t recall Kyle’s home was burglarized over the holidays while the family was vacationing in Aspen, CO. The burglars made off with $1 million worth of jewelry and purses including many heirlooms passed down to Kyle from her late mom Kathleen Richards.
“The sentimental was the hardest because it was personal,” Kyle explained. “I can’t replace those things. But everything I had was either gifts or sentimental or worked my ass off for them.”
“I was in D.C. looking at colleges with my daughter and someone said to me, ‘I’m so sorry about your break-in. I hope you didn’t lose that necklace that your daughter Alexia said on the show that she wanted to have one day.’ And I said, ‘I did say that. And it is gone.’ Everything is gone,” Kyle recalled.
However, thanks to “the craziest alarm system” ever the RHOBH star does have peace of mind when it comes to protecting her home.
“I have a virtual guard with cameras all over my property and I have a security guard,” Kyle said. “I have every protection imaginable. But there’s nothing left to take!”
I feel for Kyle big time. I personally don’t see her and Mauricio staying in that house very long.
Thoughts on Kyle’s interview? Are you surprised the burglary is still affecting Kyle? Do you think Kyle will continue living in her Encino home?
