Money can’t buy you class but it sure can buy you out of some serious legal trouble.
Just ask Luann de Lesseps who just agreed to a plea deal in connection to her drunken Christmas Eve arrest in Palm Beach.
According to The Daily Mail, “The Real Housewives of New York star was initially charged with four felonies and one misdemeanor, but will now have the most serious charges dropped, which include: resisting an officer with violence, disorderly intoxication and battery on a law enforcement officer.”
Luann is due back in court this July where her intoxication and trespassing charges will be reduced to misdemeanors while her felony resisting arrest charge will be dropped once she enters a guilty plea.
The Real Housewives of New York star has endured a crazy year and a half which included a whirlwind engagement, a failed marriage, a divorce, an arrest, rehab, and a budding comeback.
While Luann completed a stint in rehab following her arrest and has since stopped drinking altogether, the Countess recently revealed that she believes she was drugged on Christmas Eve.
“I almost think that somebody slipped me something because I don’t remember a thing after that,” Luann confessed on The Dr. Oz Show. “So I almost think that somebody slipped me something because I don’t remember a thing after that.”
No word on the details of Luann’s plea deal or how the Countess feels about it but I bet she’s ready to move on and put it all behind her.
I’m surprised Luann took a plea deal considering she rejected the first one offered to her. I’m very curious to know what the conditions of Luann’s plea deal are and if she will have to serve any time or do any community service.
Thoughts on this latest development? What do you think the conditions of Luann’s plea deal are? Are you surprised Luann agreed to a plea deal? Sound off below!
