More money, more problems?
Margret Josephs has found herself in more legal trouble!
The Real Housewives of New Jersey star was hit with ANOTHER lawsuit. This time the lawsuit comes from the law firm Sunshine, Atkins, Minassian, Tafuri, D’Amoto & Beane, P.A.
In Bergen County court documents obtained by Page Six, the law firm is suing Margaret over an unpaid bill in the amount of $3,568.73.
The lawsuit claims that the RHONJ star hired the firm on February 26, 2015, to handle “matrimonial litigation.” The law firm further claims they completed the work as requested but Margaret failed to pay them for their services.
In fact, the law firm claims they even sent Margaret a notice in December 2017 but “the certified mail was returned ‘unclaimed’ and the regular mail was received.”
A rep for Margaret told Page Six, “This is not only grossly misleading and shameful but an extortionist maneuver outside their standing agreement that aims to leverage Ms. Josephs’ celebrity in order shame her and reap a benefit as a result.”
In the past year or so, Margaret has been sued by Vineyard Vines for trademark infringement. Vineyard Vines accuses Margaret and her company The Macbeth Collection of copying their designs. The RHONJ star was ordered to pay Vineyard Vines $300,00 but only paid $190,000 so far. Now the company is suing Margaret for $9.4 million in damages.
Yikes. Margaret can’t catch a break when it comes to financial issues. Hopefully, she can figure it all out.
