LuAnn De Lesseps has been going through a lot, ever since her arrest and the aftermath of that. The RHONY star is having it all played out on the show, but that has been giving her the unique opportunity to watch herself and reflect. She had previously mentioned on an episode of Watch What Happens Live, that when she got arrested in Palm Beach in December – the only phone number she actually remembered was Tom D’Agostino. Of course, she didn’t want to call it. Everyone has been curious to know, though, if Tom has reached out or not following the arrest, and the answer is – yes.
The #CountessAndFriends cabaret shows LuAnn has been doing, have been her “saving grace” following all of these incidents. LuAnn opened up to Us Weekly, “I’ve sunk my teeth into it, and really, creatively gotten into it. I talk about what happened to me in the show. There’s a lot of comedy in the show. There’s a lot of self-deprecation because, look, I hit a wall. I’m not ashamed to say it. And I talk about that in the show.” She knows that the video footage now swirling around of her arrest makes her look awful. LuAnn explained, “It’s never pretty to watch yourself in a place that’s not good. But guess what? I look at myself and I get that opportunity to reflect. Not many people get to do that, and I get to tell my story on my show.”
She discussed that her kids, Noel and Victoria, have both been very supportive. LuAnn said, “My daughter has been supportive and doesn’t judge me. She let me make my own mistakes, because we learn from our mistakes and we move on. It’s just a notch in the ladder of your destiny, right?”
I have to say, I think it’s good that LuAnn has been owning everything and making changes. The ‘Countess and Friends’ cabaret show is great for her. Plus it’s been selling out so fast, I’m sure it will continue for quite some time. I’m looking forward to watching LuAnn evolve this season as she overcomes everything!
