Jacqueline Laurita and her husband Chris Laurita have been making a difference ever since an incident last month, that involved Jacqueline and their autistic son Nicholas being ‘kicked out’ of their favorite library.
Jacqueline announced on social media last month that she had been kicked out of the Franklin Lakes Public Library in New Jersey – with her autistic son, Nicholas. Apparently the library didn’t like that he was tapping on things and making noises. Jacqueline is speaking out and working on making changes. The former star of The Real Housewives of New Jersey, recently shared on social media, “UPDATE: Chris and I recently met with our wonderful Mayor. Yesterday, we met with our Library Board who was equally as wonderful and open for positive changes! Great things are coming soon to Franklin Lakes! Stay tuned! A plan is in action! I am SO excited!” She included the hashtag, “inclusion.”
Jacqueline is working on making people aware of autism and she wants people to be open minded and inclusive. She explained, “I’ll give more details as things are finalized! Thank you all for your support and love! Xoxo” The birth of her son was filmed for RHONJ and we watched Jacqueline work towards helping Nicholas grow and learn with autism. It’s an emotional experience but Jacqueline shared their story to help others.
I think it’s great that Jacqueline and Chris are always raising awareness. I feel that they are doing everything they can for their son, Nicholas. They both put in a lot of effort. I’m glad that they are making positive changes. I understand that certain places require you to be quiet, like the library or movie theater. However; some people have conditions that don’t allow for that all of the time. I think people should be more inclusive and open minded. I’m excited for positive changes to come, and I feel like there are all kinds of wonderful movements happening in the world right now!
