Vanderpump Rules just aired the season 6 finale this week and in it we saw Lisa Vanderpump let bartender Jax Taylor go!
According to Jax, though, he needed to leave SUR. Although he loved his time filming Vanderpump Rules, he explained to Bravo, “We are family at the end of the day. We’ve all been friends for 10, 15 years. So yeah, it’s gonna suck not going to work every day and not seeing my friends because it wasn’t like work. I enjoyed going. I liked going.” Jax feels like life will be a lot less stressful now, though. Jax said, “At the same time, it’s less stress because now I don’t have to deal with any of this, the murmurs, the noises, and I don’t have to hear about it.” He added, “I can start fresh, which I need to do.”
One of the biggest questions all season long had to do with Jax Taylor’s job offer in Tampa, Florida. According to Jax, that offer “was 100% real.” He didn’t take the job though, due to the death of his father. On a recent episode of Watch What Happens Live, Jax said, “The only thing that stopped me from doing it was the timing. I just lost my father, and the reason I was going to Florida, the main reason, obviously I love the hockey, and I got the opportunity, but the main reason was to be closer to my father. Once he passed away, I just didn’t want anything to do with Florida.”
On the bright side, even after the cheating and drama – he still has his beautiful girlfriend, Brittany Cartwright, by his side. Jax beamed, “I am blessed enough to have the most amazing lady in my life along with great friends.”
Condolences to Jax! I have to say, I think that Jax and Brittany make a cute couple. She seems super sweet and down-to-earth. I can’t believe he cheated on her, but hopefully he doesn’t do anything like that ever again. It seems like he’s committed now and she’s willing to give him another chance, so hopefully all goes well. I can’t picture him not bartending at SUR but we’ll have to see what happens.
