Yolanda Hadid Officially Dropped The Last Name Foster

Yolanda Hadid is back!

The former model and star of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, has legally changed her name back to ‘Hadid’ after her divorce from David Foster. According to Bravo’s The Daily Dish, “She reportedly filed to make the name change last month, and a judge signed off on her request on April 5.” Yolanda previously announced her plans to drop the last name Foster during an appearance on Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen in February of 2016. Yolanda said, “I never dropped the name ‘Hadid’ because I have three children by that name, and I asked the kids, you know, ‘Should I go back to ‘van den Herik’? and they said, ‘No, you’re our mommy, and we have the same last name.'”

Yolanda and David had announced their split in December of 2015 after four years of marriage and nine years of being in a relationship together. In their joint statement to People, they stated, “Sadly we have decided to go our separate ways. We’ve shared 9 beautiful and joyous years together. During that time we experienced love, friendship and the inevitable challenges that come with managing a marriage, careers, blended families and health issues.”

I love, love, love Yolanda Hadid! It makes complete sense that she would go back to ‘Hadid’ as that is also the last name of her three children, Gigi, Bella and Anwar. I think Yolanda is a down to earth, genuine person. She deserves to be happy and healthy. I’d love for her to return to RHOBH. (Plus her fridge too!)
