We all love our Bravolebs but let’s face it: In Hollywood they are on the D-List compared to the shining stars of La La Land. One of the reasons WWHL is so popular as it brings the two worlds together; however in the case of Jennifer Lawrence and Lala Kent things can backfire.
J-Law is one of our peeps as she is a huge Bravo fan, so it was no shock when she appeared on WWHL to give her two cents on Vanderpump Rules star Lala Kent. Unfortunately for Lala, Jennifer didn’t have the kindest things to say and ended up calling her the dreaded C-word. In J-Law’s own words:
“the season before, we see Lala trying so hard to be nice and then she’s like crying to her mom, and then she’s like a total bitch. And then she’s trying like really, really hard to be nice, and then she comes back this season and she’s like, ‘Hi, honey. Hi, sweetie.’”
Jennifer should have stopped there but had to add: “I’m like, bitch, you’s a c**t.’”
Ugh. I don’t care if your’re Erika Jayne, I hate anyone using the C-word and especially hate when women use it as an insult against other women.
Apparently ‘Lala from the block’ didn’t take too kindly to Jennifer’s words and took her frustration out on Twitter saying:
“Did Jennifer Lawrence really call me a ‘c**t’ on @bravowwhl? Annnnnd talk about my mama? Bitch, you better pray I don’t see you in the streets. You’re one of the highest paid actresses on the planet … you claim you are pro-women and you call another woman a c**t? You’re gross.”
Lala didn’t stop there and recently spoke out further on Reality Checked stating that Jennifer “bombed movies in a row” and elaborated why it hurt her so bad stating:
“The thing is, no one wants to be called the c-word, especially by an A-list celebrity on national television. I was such a huge fan of hers, and it bummed me out. I thought that she had a little more class than that. You know, let’s leave the trash to people like me who do reality TV. Don’t try to steal my thunder, girlfriend!”
Here is my two cents: I think even celebrities can forget that reality stars are actual people and can get too emotionally involved in a show (even A-Listers such as Jennifer Lawrence.) Perhaps it was drinking in the clubhouse that made J-Law so loose but calling Lala a ‘c u next Tuesday’ wasn’t cool in my opinion. On the other hand I’m no fan of Lala and her suddenly thinking that she is Tupac has taken her to another level of eye roll so I can’t believe I’m even defending her here.
What are your thoughts? Was Jennifer out of line or should Lala have stayed quiet?
