Bethenny Frankel answered the million dollar question!
Recently Bethenny Frankel, star of The Real Housewives of New York, appeared on an episode of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills. It was a beautiful Real Housewives crossover! Bethenny is besties with Kyle Richards, and they have been for at least twenty years. Therefore; it was no surprise that Bethenny attended the party Kyle hosted at her boutique in NYC, Kyle by Alene Too.
Since the ladies are so close, people have been wondering if Bethenny was protecting and defending her friend Kyle when she made some remarks about Dorit Kemsley. Bethenny was asking about Dorit’s accent and her being British. Bethenny said on the RHONY episode, “Dorit is British.” When she was informed that Dorit actually is not British, she replied, “Oh, she isn’t? What’s that accent?” Many viewers thought she was throwing shade at Dorit because of her issues with Kyle. However; Bethenny shot all of those rumors down!
She actually revealed to superfan Jennifer Lawrence, “On my life, on Scott Disick’s life, I didn’t. No, I swear to God, on my life. Ask Andy! Hold on, wait, hold on, I don’t watch all the shows. I swear to God on everything I hope to be, I didn’t know, I didn’t know anything.” She added, “I had dinner with her husband with Kyle, and Boy George, at Cirpriani. Which is such a crazy sentence, that sounds like celebrity rehab.” She summed up that since they were British and speaking about it, that his wife, Dorit, must be British as well. Plus as Bethenny pointed out, “She has a weird accent. So I thought, ‘Where is she from?'”
Kyle’s boutique has also had some recent changes. New York City’s real estate and rent is super expensive, so it’s no surprise that Kyle recently moved her sprawling boutique’s location on the Upper East Side of Manhattan to a smaller spot on the UES.
It totally would make sense if Bethenny was being sasy about Dorit, because of her friendship and loyalty to Kyle. However; after Bethenny explained the situation, I do believe that she just didn’t know about Dorit’s accent and ethnicity. I think she is telling the truth. I hope we see more of Bethenny and Kyle together on Bravo!
