The one season wonder curse strikes again!
The Real Housewives of Orange County is losing another cast member and this time it’s Peggy Sulahian.
Peggy announced Tuesday that would be retiring her orange after only one season as a Real Housewife.
“What an exciting experience it was to be part of The Real Housewives of Orange County! It was an honor to be the 100th housewife and to be part of the Bravo family. I am extremely proud of being the first Armenian-American Housewife and sharing my culture with the world,” Peggy explained.
She continued, “While I faced and conquered many challenges, I’m grateful for the opportunity to share my story and spread awareness of breast cancer. Dealing with the disease and the passing of my father challenged me to reassess and reflect on my life, and I’ve realized what’s most important is leading a healthy and happy life, surrounded by people who care and love you. At this point, moving on seemed like the right thing to do. A few new ventures have availed themselves, and I look forward to sharing them with you soon!”
Meanwhile, E! News reports that Peggy plans to focus on her family and won’t miss the negativity of reality TV.
“Peggy is looking forward to focusing on her family and her own opportunities. She is a very positive person and wants to be away from the negativity of the women,” a source told E! News. “Peggy is big on positive energy and wants that around her and her family.”
This departure isn’t shocking to RHOC fans as rumors surrounding Peggy’s season 13 departure have been rampant for months.
As for fans I don’t expect to hear any complaints about Peggy’s exit from RHOC as she was certainly not a fan favorite. Despite my issues with Peggy on RHOC, I did like her at certain points on the show but just don’t feel she’s a good fit for RHOC.
Are you surprised Peggy won’t be returning to RHOC? Do you think Peggy is the last RHOC who will be leaving before season 13? Will you miss Peggy? Does RHOC still need a major cast shakeup even after Lydia, Peggy, and Meghan’s departures?
