In a new interview with Life & Style, Meghan reveals that it was becoming harder and harder to handle the drama of reality TV, which ultimately led to her leaving the Real Housewives of Orange County for good following the season 12 reunion.
“I don’t enjoy the meanness that inherently comes with being a part of the cast. I despise mean people,” Meghan explains, adding that she decided to leave RHOC during the season 12 reunion. “Going into the Season 12 reunion I wanted to come back for Season 13, but by the end of the reunion I knew I was going to leave.”
However, it was actually Meghan’s husband Jim Edmonds who encouraged her to think about her decision for a while before making her final choice.
“My husband urged me to sit on my decision for a while so I went back and forth for about a month before coming to my final decision.”
Meghan also sought the advice of her BFF and psychic, Mystic Michaela.
“She said I could stay or leave and it was completely up to me,” Meghan shared. “She could see my life outcomes with either decision.”
While, Meghan says she won’t miss the arguments, tears, and drama on RHOC she will miss working with friends Tamra Judge and Shannon Beador but is hopeful they will remain lifelong friends.
“I think we will always keep in touch,” she assured.
Another thing Meghan won’t miss about RHOC is the “grueling” filming schedule. Meghan says that during season 12 her filming schedule was so hectic that she “had to hire a full-time live-in nanny (my cousin) so as to allow me the flexibility to meet my obligations of continuous days and long hours of filming, traveling, etc.”
I will for sure miss Meghan on RHOC. I loved that she was a younger Housewife that I could connect with better. The AllAboutTRH team wishes Meghan and Jimmy the best of luck moving forward!
