Shep Rose may love sleeping with any girl who bats her lashes at the reality TV stud, but it turns out that if you actually want to date the Southern Charm star you have to be smart, very smart actually.
Basically, airheads need to apply to date, Mr. Rose.
Tonight, Shep starts the journey to hopefully end his perpetual life as a bachelor on his spin-off show Relationshep.
And one thing he will be looking for in all the ladies he meets is a brain.
“Intelligence is really important, and wit,” Shep told Page Six. “I want to talk about current events; we’re going to have a lot to talk about if we spend every waking moment together. They better be interesting and thoughtful and insightful and informed. That’s the deal breaker if someone is just an airhead.”
Relationshep will take Shep across the country as his friends try to set him up with different ladies. Ultimately with Shep returning to Charleston with his favorite ladies in tow.
“These were friends of friends in different cities, I got to be a stranger in a strange land, and I thrive in that position,” Shep explained. “The girls are the ones holding the cards, so to speak. I was sort of led around by the nose, which is sort of fun, that was easy. The hard part was when they moved into the house back in Charleston, that’s when things got a little bit messier.”
While Shep won’t kiss and tell he claims that as of now he’s ready to settle down.
“I’m really happy with how it all turned out,” he said. “I’d love to not have to deal with the single scene anymore; it’s wearing a little thin. Change is slow, but I am very willing to look in the mirror and look at my faults and see where I need to change.”
Relationshep premieres tonight at 10 pm.
