Kameron Westcott‘s pink dog food is in the doghouse with consumers.
The Real Housewives of Dallas star’s dog food line, Sparkle Dog, is getting some scathing reviews on Amazon.
While Sparkle Dog products support Susan G. Komen and have a 3.3-star rating on Amazon, the brand’s most recent reviews are pretty ugly.
“Just a tip for others buying this ‘food,’ make sure you buy a tarp to keep your dog on, cause you will have diarrhea everywhere!!!” one customer wrote, while another referred to it as “nausea in a bag.”
Meanwhile, another commenter claimed, “Dog was dehydrated, vomiting, diarrhea, and very weak and not himself.”
However, Kameron denies the bad reviews and stands behind her company; claiming that someone is trying to sabotage her brand.
“We have contacted Amazon, and they are removing the fake reviews that have been created to sabotage our business. The 1-star reviews were done by people who never purchased the product and [are] meritless. Based on internal tests we have found that dogs bowel movements are unaffected by our food.”
One of the most significant issues consumers have with Kameron’s Sparkle Dog food is that it contains red #3, which isn’t great for animals and can cause a whole series of issues.
Kameron encourages people to try her line and make up their own minds.
“We suggest your dog try it and see that our food is a premium dog food and these negative reviews are baseless!”
Thoughts on the claims against Kameron’s dog food? Do you think someone is trying to sabotage Cameron’s brand?
