It’s no secret that Joe Giudice loves wine and sometimes overindulges in alcoholic beverages but Joe’s boozing ways were taken to a whole new level the night before be reported to prison.
According to Teresa’s new memoir, Standing Strong, Joe spent the night before he reported to prison drinking and boozing it up with friends and family until the wee morning hours.
“I stayed upstairs in my bedroom, crying, by myself, knowing I was going to be saying my own goodbye to him the next day. For what felt forever,” Teresa writes.
Later, Joe finally came upstairs, and the couple had sex for the last time. “He was drunk, as usual,” Teresa added.
The next morning, more of Joe’s family arrived including his brother, cousins, and uncles and the partying continued.
“They drank three bottles of wine, a bottle of champagne, and a bottle of Johnnie Walker Blue – in the morning before most people had their breakfast!” Teresa recalls. “Joe said he was eating and drinking like he was going to prison, which he obviously was!”
Before getting in the car Joe poured everyone a shot of Johnnie Walker Blue and made a toast in Italian.
“To family, friends; to good health and freedom,” he said, according to Teresa.
However, Joe’s shenanigans weren’t done there; he then demanded they stop at Burger King for his last meal.
“He probably wanted something to absorb all the liquor he’d consumed,” Teresa guesses.
But Joe’s plan to lower his high level of intoxication didn’t work out and he was unable to check into prison.
“He kept blowing the highest alcohol level on their device,” Teresa claims. “Then he had to go to the medical department for five hours to sober up. It wasn’t until 7:00 pm that they let him in and gave him some food, a toothbrush, soap, and sneakers.”
Wow part of me is shocked, and the other part of me isn’t surprised. I think Joe was scared shitless to go to prison and was probably using alcohol to hide it.
Are you surprised Joe got wasted before checking into prison?
