While several Housewives have spoken out bashing OC newbie Peggy Sulahian over claims she homophobic, Peggy’s Real Housewives of Orange County co-stars have stayed tight-lipped about the subject.
Rumor has it that the many of the RHOC were not happy when they found out about the allegations against Peggy.
As we previously reported, Vicki Gunvalson and Kelly Dodd were apparently furious with Peggy over the allegations.
“Vicki feels betrayed a bit because she befriended Peggy. She is not going to treat her the same after this. Vicki has zero tolerance for anti-gay actions, and she does not want Peggy on the cast if this is who she truly is,” a source explained.
However, now Kelly and Vicki are speaking out about the claims against Peggy in an interview with the Windy City Times.
When asked about Peggy being homophobic, Vicki and Kelly spilled some fascinating tea.
“I don’t know anything about it. People thought I was part of a cancer scam. I wasn’t. I am never going to judge Peggy until it comes out of her mouth to me,” Vicki explained.
Adding, “I think her brother is trying to get into the limelight and press by saying that. Why would he say that? Is he trying to hurt her? Popularity? He reached out to me to talk about it. I told him it is family stuff and I don’t want to know about it. I told them to deal with it behind closed doors.”
Meanwhile, Kelly makes it clear she wants to sit down and talk with Peggy about the accusations.
“I wanted to talk to her about it to get her point of view,” Kelly said. “I haven’t had an opportunity to. Most of my family and all of my friends are gay.”
Well, I think the entire RHOC cast will get a chance to talk with Peggy about these claims at the RHOC reunion. While the claims against Peggy are hearsay, her silence makes her look worse and worse by the day. The fact that Peggy has barely addressed the claims is what rubs me the wrong way. If I was being accused of something so terrible (and untrue) I’d be defending myself left and right.
