Hey Luann, was trading your Countess title for wife really worth it?
Turns out not so much.
According to Page Six sources, Luann de Lesseps is kicking herself over giving up her beloved Countess title.
“Poor Luann. She loved being a countess,” said a source.
Luann obtained the Countess title when she married her first husband French Count Alexandre de Lesseps in 1993.
Even after her 2009 divorce, Luann continued to use her Countess title until she had to give it up when she married Tom D’Agostino in 2017.
In her season 9 tagline on the Real Housewives of New York, Luann bragged “the only title I’d give up ‘countess’ for is ‘wife.’ ”
Which turned out to be a very bad deal considering Tom and Luann divorced 7 months into their marriage.
However, Luann says the Countess title will always be apart of who she is.
“I was married to my first [husband] for a long time and had two children with him. The Countess will always be a part of who I am.”
I feel for Luann big time, but it is kind of funny how much she bragged about how giving up her Countess title for the title of a wife was so worth it, and then her marriage didn’t even last a year. I think Tom and Lu just weren’t meant to be and they rushed into things way too fast. Hopefully, they both can find happiness, but I still think Tom is a player and cheat.
Do you think Luann is kicking herself over giving up her Countess title? Will the Countess always be apart of who Luann is?
