However Tom’s cheating last season at the Regency Hotel has caused non-stop negative rumors about the couple, so recently both LuAnn and Tom have both been doing MAJOR damage control. The newlyweds say that they are happy and madly in love, but Page Six is now telling a very different story about why their New Years Even wedding almost didn’t happen.
Allegedly Tom nearly called off their wedding the day before they headed to the altar, and LuAnn knew the couple was doomed, yet was adamant on getting married; she had defended Tom many times and refused to admit that her co-stars were right about her (then) fiancé.
“Luann was lucky that Tom made it to the altar — because it was Tom, not Luann, who nearly called the whole thing off at the last minute,” an insider revealed. Adding that his cold feet almost got the best of him, but ultimately went through with the lavish wedding because “he loves her.”
The source went on to expose another reason that LuAnn married Tom even though it was clear that they were having problems, the press! The insider confirmed, “She’d already done a lucrative deal with People magazine for an exclusive about the wedding.” This is a point I had never even thought of before, but it does make a lot of sense; she gave People the exclusive over Bravo, and last minute refused to allow the cameras inside the actual ceremony or the reception!
Finally, the source claimed that Tom and LuAnn have already broken up and gotten back together several times in 2017; the year is only halfway over, so this is a very bad sign.
To reiterate, LuAnn and Tom have both denied all of these accusations, so unfortunately for us, we’ll just have to wait and see. Tom seems to like fame, and LuAnn likes being a wife, but she shouldn’t be settling for a serial cheater who has embarrassed and disrespected her publically multiple times. Sorry Lu, but it’s not looking good for your future as Mrs. D’Agostino!
