Talk about health nightmare!
Vicki Gunvalson is now claiming that her daughter Briana Culberson, who was diagnosed with Lupus last year, almost died following a surgery she had in Oklahoma.
“It almost killed my daughter,” Vicki told Access Hollywood. “[The scalpel was infected] with feces from a previous surgery that day they put inside her body. So, not good, she almost lost her leg. I mean, she almost died and all this stuff.”
Thankfully, Brianna bounced back with the help of Los Angeles’ City of Hope and three weeks of IV antibiotics.
“[They] got all of it out of her body,” Vicki revealed. “She’s home. She lives seven minutes away from me,” she added. “Family is good. We have a normal family now. Everyone gets along.”
As for Brianna and her family, Vicki says everyone’s doing great.
“She’s home. She lives seven minutes away from me. Family is good. We have a normal family now. Everyone gets along,” Vicki explained.
However, Vicki does reveal that Briana’s health is still an ongoing struggle.
In order to treat her Lupus, Briana continues to get chemo treatments every four to six weeks at UCLA.
“The doctor just emailed her and said, ‘I’m moving to San Francisco.’ So finding the proper medical care when you’re diagnosed with something like that has been a challenge for Briana,” Vicki explains. “But she’s alive.”
Poor Briana she has been through so many health issues at such a young age. I’m happy to hear that Briana is doing better but talk about a health nightmare. The entire AATRH team wishes Briana nothing but the best.
Thoughts on Vicki’s interview? Can you believe Briana’s leg got infected due to a dirty scalpel? Are you excited to see how she’s doing today?
