All or nothing?
Kenya Moore is between a rock and a hard place as the Real Housewives of Atlanta begin to film season 10.
RHOA producers want Kenya’s marriage and her husband on the show and are rumored to have given the newlywed an ultimatum – put your husband on the show or get fired.
Ever since Kenya announced her marriage many have wondered if her new man would be a part of her reality TV life.
However, Kenya has been tightlipped about her husband’s reality TV fate.
Mere days after walking down the aisle Kenya told PEOPLE that she and Marc hadn’t discussed whether or not he would appear on RHOA.
“I think we have to make that decision together if the opportunity comes,” Kenya explained. “We just got married — we haven’t even talked about that stuff before. I’m sure we will make the right decision. But right now, I’m enjoying being a bride and a newlywed.”
As for now, TMZ reports that producers have told Kenya the only way she will keep her peach on RHOA is if the show can chronicle her marriage.
The problem is Kenya’s husband doesn’t want to be on the show because of the way they portray black men.
Kenya, on the other hand, is fighting back telling producers they hired her and not her husband; pointing out that Marc is not mentioned in her season 10 contract at all.
Furthermore, Kenya claims she doesn’t want to put her marriage in jeopardy after waiting so long to find Mr. Right
It seems that Kenya’s pleas are falling on deaf ears as producers are standing by their ultimatum, leaving Kenya in an awkward and stressful position.
It should also be noted that producers are probably extra harsh on Kenya because she got married before season 10 started rolling and prevented the show from using it in her storyline.
Rumor has it producers are “furious” over Kenya’s “secret wedding.” And honestly, I don’t blame them.
I think Kenya just made her bed and now she has to lie in it. This is supposed to be reality TV. How can we see your reality if your husband isn’t on the show? It’s one thing not to have your kids appear but for your spouse to be MIA is something else entirely different and cuts out a huge chunk of your storyline. And how does Kenya expect to use attempts at getting pregnant as a storyline without showing Marc? I’m glad Bravo is putting their foot down and making Kenya be real. Let’s hope they stick to it and don’t back down.
Is Bravo justified in giving Kenya an ultimatum? Does Kenya’s husband need to be a part of her storyline? Do you think Kenya and Marc will give in to Bravo’s demands? Would Bravo really fire Kenya? Sound off below!
