Teresa Giudice has been through it all; she hit rock bottom, and bounced back better than ever!
This has been an especially tough year for Teresa, not only is she a single mother while her husband Joe is behind bars, but she lost her best friend, her mother. Teresa’s mom Antonia Gorga was often featured on RHONJ, and she passed away this year while season 8 filming was underway. Production was respectful of Antonia’s death, but unfortunately, the show must go on!
The AATRH team saw Teresa last week on her birthday and she looked amazing! She was very friendly and appeared genuinely grateful to be surrounded by loved ones, even though two of the most important people in her life weren’t there.
Not only does Teresa credit yoga for keeping her fit and sane, but writing has become an amazing source of therapy for her. Last May we were the first to announce that Teresa was writing another book, and she recently revealed that her new memoir, Standing Strong will be available this fall!
“This has been a very difficult year for me, with losing my mother and having my husband in prison,” Teresa told People. Adding, “I found that writing this book and talking about everything I was going through was very therapeutic for me.”
Her first memoir Turning The Tables was an instant hit and made her a New York Times best selling author once again, but this time was different. This was Teresa’s first time spilling the emotions and details of her life; the good, the bad, and the ugly! She was vulnerable, honest, funny, and real; Turning The Tables brought out many emotions in those who read it, and it was the official start of Teresa’s comeback!
“I think this is a natural sequel to Turning the Tables, as it chronicles my life after I came home from Danbury [Federal Correctional Institution. It in essence picks up where the last book left off,” Teresa explained.
She teased that Standing Strong will, “touch on the happy moments she’s managed to experience since her husband’s incarceration, including the 45th birthday she just celebrated.” But of course, we’re going to get a real look at what she’s been dealing with deep down, and how difficult things are without Joe and her mother. Teresa somehow makes it look easy, yet confesses in Standing Strong that it’s been extremely challenging.
“Writing this particular book has been very emotional and personal for me as I am going to depths that I have never gone to in previous books,” she wrapped.
We love, love, love you Tre, and cannot wait to read Standing Strong this fall; You’re making you family, friends, and fans very proud!
