From reality TV to restaurants.
Kathy Wakile may be changing her jobs but her new gig isn’t any less dramatic than her role on the Real Housewives of New Jersey.
In a new interview with Page Six, Kathy opens up about her and Rich’s new business plan: a pizza restaurant. An Italian pizza restaurant. In New Jersey. How original. NOT!
“It’s something I’ve been wanting for such a long time,” Kathy explains. “I’ve talked about it in the past but the timing wasn’t right, [and] now I have the time to devote to it.”
Pizza Love is set to open in June and will be run by the Wakile’s and two of their friends.
“It’ll be a great joint effort,” she said. The menu will be made up of pizza, Mediterranean eats, and Kathy’s specialty desserts.
“Cannolis will be on the menu for sure,” Kathy says.“I’ll be changing it up depending on the season. That’s how I like to cook; depending on the season and what people are looking for.”
Kathy hopes her new venture will be “drama free;” saying “It’ll be a family restaurant.”
Speaking of family, Kathy stayed mum about her cousin Teresa Giudice, who will be spending her first Mother’s Day without her mom.
“I imagine she’d be focusing on her children and being a mother herself,” Kathy said.
I hope Kathy and Rich have a lot of luck because you know they’ll need it to stay in that huge house they built. I’m just happy that they are staying away from reality TV and seem to be moving on with their lives. Good for them! And Jenna and I might just have to travel up the Turnpike and visit Pizza Love once it’s open.
