On Sunday night’s RHOA we watched the end of Cynthia Bailey and Peter Thomas as a couple, and while she didn’t seem overly emotional, he was clearly heartbroken. Peter did his goodbye drive past their marital home, and in doing so he announced (again) that Cynthia is who ended the marriage, he did not; in fact, he said he would still be together if she hadn’t “given up!”
In this week’s Bravo blog Cynthia defended herself against his accusations, however made a point to once again reiterate that they are still friends and will always be!
“It was very emotional. I felt happy and sad at the same time. I went into my marriage with a pure heart and with the best of intentions. This was my first marriage, and I wanted it to work. I know in my heart that I gave it all that I could give. So many beautiful things came out of my marriage, and I have absolutely no regrets. I did the best that I could do, and I’m good with that. Nothing is more important than my peace. I am happy to be at peace. Peter was my friend before he was my husband, and I am grateful that we are still friends. I will always love and support him,” Cynthia explained.
Cynthia and Peter were both at the OLG opening party, and while there interaction was awkward, it was completely overshadowed by Sherien Almufti’s ambush! While some have accused Cynthia and Kandi of knowing that she would be there because of Todd and Peter, Cynthia insisted that she had no idea!
“Of course, like everybody else, I was shocked to see Apollo’s financee. I had no idea that he was engaged. Phaedra and Apollo are no longer together, and they have both moved on. Love is a beautiful thing, and they both deserve love. I wish Apollo the best, and I pray Phaedra finds love as well,” Cynthia asserted.
So, how did she feel when Apollo revealed that their divorce wasn’t final? “Yes, I was surprised. Phaedra told me that it was finalized,” she wrapped.
I started to like Cynthia more this season, but she needs to start bringing it for season 10; Nene may be her Bravo lifeline, so she better use it right!
