Back so soon?!?
Heather Dubrow may have moved on from the Real Housewives of Orange County, but they aren’t letting go of her so easily.
When you sign on to be a Housewife, Bravo forbids you from appearing on any other shows – scripted or not.
However, Bravo made a Heather Dubrow a very special contact that would allow her to film for RHOC but still do guest and even full-time roles on scripted TV like her latest appearance on Young & Hungry.
“Bravo offered Heather a friend role for this upcoming season of RHOC, and she declined,” a source explains. “Her contract was different than the other housewives because the other ladies are under a contract that forbids them from working on other projects while on RHOC.”
“But because Heather was involved in other productions all along, she had a different contract with Bravo,” a source reveals.
While Heather claims she left RHOC for her kids, rumors about the real reason for her departure have been swirling. Some say Heather left to save her marriage, others because of a demotion to part-time Housewife, or because of the season 11 cast drama.
“Heather seem to see herself as being above all that drama like she is bigger than RHOC,” sources claim. “She always bragged about how she didn’t need to be on RHOC and told the other cast mates that the only reason she was on it was because she hoped it would launch her into acting work. And she was right!”
I’m not surprised Bravo gave Heather a “special” contract to appear on RHOC and other shows – they knew what an asset she was and did what they needed to get her on the show. I hope Heather just needs a season away and then will hopefully return.
Are you surprised Heather got a “special” contract? Do you think Heather thought she was above the RHOC drama? What would it take for Heather to come back to RHOC? Will you miss Heather on RHOC?
