The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills is a fan favorite on Bravo, and has been since the day it premiered!
These women are some of the most fabulous, beautiful women in the country, not to mention they are mega-rich. Lisa Vanderpump is the queen bee of the 90210, and she recently spoke to The Daily Dish about the success of RHOBH! Lisa is known for saying what she thinks and as usual, she wasn’t afraid to speak her mind!
She opened up about Kim Richards and defended her against the negative sobriety stories circulating around her as a result of the show. She got candid about season 7 newbie Eden Sassoon, and pointed out that she got, “caught up” in this messy storyline because of Lisa Rinna!
“Well I think it might be overwhelming right at the beginning. But I also think it’s accumulative. I don’t think you have that huge following until you’ve been on a show quite a few years, so I think you can adapt to it slowly,” she admitted.
However, she wants everyone to know that even though Kim has had a rough few years, she was a huge part of making RHOBH a success. She felt like it was wrong for Eden to go after Kim, because Kim has paved the way for her; maybe not directly, but in a general sense! “But you know I think everybody they should be thankful to join a reality show that’s a hit reality show is a luxury. And I think that people like Kim Richards, you know, she shouldn’t be put down,” Lisa insisted.
She continued, “I don’t like that — the fact when people are commenting on her because Kim Richards was an integral part of making the Beverly Hills Housewives show a hit,” Lisa said. “And the fact that she’s not on the show anymore and people are still talking about her, I think that is a bit of a shame really,” she wrapped.
The shade on this interview was in-between the lines, clearly she was snubbing Rinna and saying that Kim has played a much bigger role in the success of the show than she has. I will agree with Lisa, Kim has taken a lot of heat on the show and in the press, so she is a big part of why viewers tuned in; good or bad, it’s the truth!
