Let it go?
Dorit Kemsley is opening up about her first season of Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, her on-going feud with co-star Erika Girardi, and why she is so ready to move on from #Pantygate.
The RHOBH newbie has made a splash and has taken some of the attention away from her co-stars, but Dorit admits she had zero expectation going into the show.
“I really didn’t have any expectations going into this. I didn’t know how it was going to be,” Dorit tells Us Weekly. “With me, what you see is what you get. Welcome into our lives. I open the front door and I let everybody in. Right, wrong or other, at the very least, I am who I am. I can’t be anything other than myself.”
Dorit, infamously started #pantygate when she called out Erika for her lack of panties during a group outing, further fueling the fire by giving Erika a pair of panties as a gift.
However, Dorit says she never meant to start drama and claims she never thought the drama would escalate so intensely.
“I am honestly so past the drama of it all,” Dorit says. “I never thought it would escalate into what it became.”
In fact, Dorit thought she and Erika were going to hit it off the best before filming began.
“I thought her and I would be fast friends. We have some friends in common and they told me they thought she and I would really connect and be great friends,” Dorit reveals. “She’s a glamorous girl, and I was under the impression that she just loves to have fun and that we’d undoubtedly connect.”
But clearly, she was wrong. “Obviously, we got off on the wrong foot. Erika and I are actually very dissimilar. We are not alike at all. All the other women, they really had a warm attitude when I came in. Erika did not, and she takes a little more time to get to know. I think that’s who she is.”
Yet, Dorit is hopeful she and Erika can be friends – one day.“I think it’s very possible that we will be friends one day,” she says. “Nothing has happened that’s so tragic. I mean, we all love to make a big deal of it, but really in the grand scheme of things, it’s nothing we can’t get over. I think if both sides want to reconcile, anything is possible.”
I truly hope that Dorit and Erika can give their friendship another shot but I don’t know how forgiving Erika can be. I think the ladies need to move on from #pantygate and just put it in the past.
