Jax Taylor has worked for Lisa Vanderpump at SUR for years, and he’s one of her most controversial employees. Although he’s fraternized at work, and missed shifts while in Hawaiian jail; LVP has a soft spot and always takes him back!
Recently Jax chatted with The Daily Dish and opened up about his relationship with Lisa. He admitted that he has gone to Lisa for guidance more times than he can count, and shockingly revealed that she has even asked him for advice!
“I think Lisa and I kind of have such a great relationship. We kind of give it to each other. I think I’m the only one that can actually stand up to her a little bit. Everyone else is kind of afraid of her, but she’ll give it to me and I’ll give it to her, and believe it or not she’s actually asked for my advice before,” Jax spilled.
So why would Lisa turn to Jax of all people; because of the negative comments he gets in the media, and on social media from VPR fans!
“She was taking a lot of heat on Housewives one year and she’s like, ‘How do you deal with this?’ And this was back when I was taking a lot of heat, I think it was like Season 2 or 3 [of Vanderpump Rules],” he explained.
Continuing, “I just don’t care. I just let things roll off my back and I think that’s why I’m able to take all this the way things happens with me just ’cause I have thick skin,” Jax confirmed. Adding, “And I try to give the advice to everybody on the show, ‘Just don’t listen. Stop reading social media. Stop reading every comment. Who cares? It’s somebody sitting in their basement just wanting you to give feedback.‘”
Then Jax shared the best advice he’s ever gotten from Lisa, and it’s clear that if you are a loyal employee, she will treat you like family. “But Lisa is about being a good person and being genuine and being true to yourself. And that’s Lisa. She’s like our mother. She just loves to look out for us and take care of us,” he wrapped.
