Lisa Vanderpump is an OG on the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills and has spent seven seasons in the thick of all the drama, so she is well versed in how to navigate through the world of reality TV. This year the 90210 crew added two new faces to the mix Eden Sassoon and Dorit Kemsley, and LVP has some thoughts about their rookie season as Housewives.
First, LVP dissected Eden’s role in the never-ending drama between Lisa Rinna and Kim Richards, in which Rinna denied than owned up to comments she made about Kim’s sobriety to Eden.
“Well Eden was very much on the periphery really as a friend of the Housewives, and then suddenly she became immersed right in the middle of a kind of firestorm so to speak,” LVP explained. “I don’t think Rinna really thought that Eden would repeat it, so therefore it wouldn’t have come to light until the reunion. And the fact that Eden repeated it then kicked everything off.”
As for Dorit, LVP admits her transition has been more difficult and offered up some sassy words of wisdom.
“Well I think it might be overwhelming right at the beginning,” she said. “But I also think it’s accumulative. I don’t think you have that huge following until you’ve been on a show quite a few years, so I think you can adapt to it slowly. But you know I think everybody they should be thankful to join a reality show that’s a hit reality show is a luxury… it’s a luxury, really, for some of these new girls to come in and the show’s a hit show.”
I’m shocked that Rinna didn’t expect her comments about Kim not be revealed until the reunion. Perhaps that’s why she played dumb in the beginning.
