Vanderpump Rules resident bad girl Lala Kent is known for her scandalous behavior, and basking in negative attention from her time on the show. Lala’s constantly expressing her love for her “mama,” claiming that she’s the one actually funding her high-end purchases; claims that no one (but Lala) believes!
Recently Lala was on Sammi Sweethearts’ podcast, Just Sayin,’ and talked about what her mom really thinks of her VPR behavior. She also dished on the status of her friendship with Ariana Madix, and reveals if she would ever appear on a reality show again!
Ariana stuck up for Lala for most of the season, until Lala last-minute skipped her Birthday trip, and cost her and Tom a lot of money for VIP NASCAR tickets! “I don’t wanna say that we’re friends, we’re cordial to each other in group settings. I’ve been out to dinner with her, but it hasn’t been one-on-one,” she confirmed.
Lala still refused to spill any details on her alleged married boyfriend, but she explained why she “put up a wall” throughout the season. “I feel like I do have to put on this like tough exterior because if you don’t people will take advantage of your vulnerable moments,” Lala confessed. Adding, “I am not a mean girl. If you think I’m gonna be this girl who’s sweet and nice while you attack me, you’re out of your mind!”
She insisted that the only scenes where she was in her, “truest, realest form,” was when she filmed with her mom. Lala also disclosed that her mom was “disappointed” by some of her comments to her co-stars, and made it clear that they were, “not okay.” Surprising, Lala admitted that this made her, “rethink some of her behaviors.”
Lala says that her negative experience on Vanderpump Rules taught her a lot. “Remember that there’s a way to argue with somebody intellectually – you don’t have to go for their looks, you don’t have to tear a human being down. I’ve gone both ways. And I’ve found that you get the best results when you’re authentic with people but also don’t let them shove you around,” she explained.
There were a few positive aspects to her time on VPR however; it’s brought her much bigger opportunities business wise. “A spinoff would be SO amazing,” she wrapped. (Side note: she didn’t hint that one was in the work, it’s just something she very interested in doing).
I’m glad that Lala’s mom doesn’t think she’s always right and was bold enough to tell her when she was wrong. That being said, how is her family not horrified by her behavior and social media antics? I’d be interested to know if Lala’s family has met her boyfriend; if not, they should definitely recognize that he’s married!
I’ll say this for sure, I would NEVER watch a Lala spin-off!
