It’s been six months since Bethenny Frankel finalized her divorce from ex-husband Jason Hoppy. If you recall the former couple separated back in 2012 and spent the last four years duking it out in court only to finalize their divorce last summer.
Now the Real Housewives of New York star is opening about how she’s been dealing with it all.
“It’s been a little gnarly. It’s been a rough couple of years that felt endless, and I swear this is it,” Bethenny explains. “It’s going to be behind me. I’ve taken charge of my own life. I’ve taken steps that this bad chapter is behind me.”
As for her life as a single mom, Bethenny says she makes a point to carve out mommy-daughter time with her 6-year-old daughter Bryn.
“I find balance in spending quality time with my daughter — giving her love, being there for her at pick up and when I’m not working — well when it’s my time with her when she’s not at school, I’m with her. When she’s at school, or it’s not my time, that’s when I work.”
While Bethenny’s divorce from Jason may have been finalized back in July 2016, she reveals that is still isn’t completely wrapped up which is why she’s yet to celebrate.
“I haven’t celebrated the end of the chapter because it isn’t totally over, but I will,” Bethenny revealed. “I’m starting to feel that light and that lift in the bad energy and I will celebrate. I will celebrate in the most gigantic way — who knows how? Carole [Radziwill] will definitely be there. But I’m going to celebrate; I’m almost ready now.”
I’m shocked that Bethenny’s divorce isn’t fully over. This has to be one of the longest divorces ever! If I were Bethenny, I’d definitely be celebrating no matter what because at least she’s one step closer to this all being behind her.
