Jules and Michael Wainstein divorce gets uglier by the day. We told you recently she was slapped with an eviction notice, and she and her young children were being forced to vacate their home within six days.
Michael was in charge of paying the bills on their apartment, and she was shocked to learn he wasn’t paying for months. Even worse, he stopped paying tuition for the kid’s fancy private school. Besides the hurt of a divorce, Jules is now dealing with humiliation, after being made aware they were behind on the school tuition!
Allegedly, Michael has been living the high life, and only seems to be struggling with money when it comes to Jules or the kids. He’s been hosting dinners and living in a secret private residence, attempting to hide things from the courts and Jules. Meanwhile, Jules has become even more hands-on with her kids, and is trying to be the best mom she can be!
Finally she got some good news, and doesn’t have to leave her apartment just yet! Michael appeared in court today after a “9W19 Corporation” sued him and Jules for failing to pay $71,944.65 in rent from January to October 2016. Interesting enough, they were filming RHONY, while not paying bills; talk about putting on a show!
Michael was spared another court battle, as Judge Michelle Schreiber postponed the hearing until February 27, 2017. Both Jules and Michael denied receiving two previous eviction notices this fall, but this all falls on Michael, since he is the tenant on record.
Michael defended that he planned on using the $25,000 from the sale of their car to pay the rent, yet the judge ruled that money would be given to Jules for their children.
This is so sad for the family, but something doesn’t seem right. Michael looks awful in this situation, and who knows what he’s doing behind closed doors. Jules needs to find herself a smaller place for her and the kids, and get ready to leave her apartment; it doesn’t look like they will be living there much longer. I think having a female judge worked in their favor here, and hopefully they use the next month wisely; they need to get their finances in order!
Jules may be wishing she stayed on RHONY for season 9, I bet those Bravo checks are looking pretty good right about now!
