One down, one to go!
Joanna Krupa has won a major victory in one of her many on-going lawsuits.
The Real Housewives of Miami star has scored a $300k payday in her legal battle against a New York strip club that was using unauthorized images of her to promote their business.
In 2015, Joanna along with two other models sued Cafe Royle and 109 Resturant alleging that the company used their photos to promote their club in Farmingdale, NY.
According to The Dirty, the models were furious over the business using their images to lure in business without gaining permission or providing payment for the photos. The models also claimed that the unauthorized use of their photos damaged their reputations.
Initially, Cafe Royle and 109 Resturant ignored and blew off Joanna and the other model’s lawsuit but then Krupa filed a motion for default judgment against them. Joanna also attached an “expert report” to her motion detailing how much she believed each model’s career was harmed which included $300k for Joanna, $120k to one of the other models, and $40k to the third model involved in the lawsuit.
The judge ruled in favor of Joanna and awarded them the money owed.
All I can say is at least Joanna has one lawsuit in the books because it seems like her lawsuit with Brandi Glanville may go on forever.
