Dorit Kemsley stopped by Access Hollywood to discuss her outspoken ways on the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills and what it’s like to be the newbie.
The interview kicks off with Dorit revealing how she wasn’t ready for the social media backlash that comes with being a Real Housewife.
“No, not at all. I’m not very good at social media. I’m starting to get into it really,” Dorit explains.
As for criticisms, Dorit admits she gets the most grief about her accent saying, “I get a lot for the way I speak and about having nannies, which people are entitled to their opinions.”
Dorit also opens up about her ever-changing accent explaining, “As for the way I speak, I live with a Brit 24/7, and I’m sure that some of his inflections rub off on me. My parents are not American, and I didn’t grow up with parents with an American accent. I traveled a lot and spent a lot of time in Europe, and I just think you’re a product of your social environment. I guess partially that’s what it is, I don’t really know, but I don’t care what people hear.”
The next topic of discussion was Dorit’s newbie status on RHOBH which she calls “a bit of a rollercoaster ride.”
Moreover, Dorit dishes on which friendship has caused her the most grief on the show as a new addition.
“Lisa [Rinna] and Eileen are very good friends so sometimes it can feel like their ganging up on you particularly when they’re together or when one is speaking for the other one, but they’ve been friends a long time, so it comes with the territory,” Dorit explains.
Of course, “panty-gate” Dorit’s drama with Erika Girardi had to be discussed.
“It was meant to be playful and fun,” Dorit says of panty-gate. “I thought she’d really get that it was meant to be a joke. I never had any bad intentions.”
As for Erika, Dorit says “She’s a talented woman who knows what she wants and goes for it. And I respect those qualities in a person.”
I really want to like Dorit so much and interviews like this I do but sometimes on RHOBH she just makes me question her intentions.
