The Real Housewives of New York - RHONY

More Housewives Financial Drama! Former RHONY Cindy Barshop Hit With HUGE Tax Lien!

With all the money these ladies have I don’t understand why they aren’t getting a professional to handle their financial situations. Yet another (former) housewife was hit with a huge tax lien which is shocking as this housewife generally rides under the radar.

Reports state that former RHONY Cindy Barshop (who honestly I completely forgot about) was recently hit with a federal tax lien for the mind boggling amount of $142,330.36! Cindy definitely isn’t the first housewife to get involved with this mess but I have to say, seeing her name and this amount was a surprise.

Apparently she forgot to pay her 2015 taxes (really – how is that possible??) and reportedly her property is now at stake because of it.

The Bravo alum appeared on season 4 of RHONY, and in my opinion didn’t really make much of a splash. She was often the odd housewife out and didn’t seem to get with the other ladies or their drama.

This isn’t her first time Cindy has been in financial hot water. Cindy had to close down some of her spas a few years ago due to a financial strain. At the time a source stated that Cindy was banking on the show to give her a platform and some free advertising; however when she left she lost that.

Hopefully Cindy can get it together as that is no small amount to owe. I wonder if she’ll be eyeing that golden RHONY apple as now would be the time for a comeback!

What are your thoughts on yet another housewife being accused of not paying taxes? Would you want to see Cindy back on the show?
