Something in the milk isn’t clean when it comes to Michael Wainstein. First we find out he’s living a double life and a cheater, next money issues come out and now the legal issues are piling up.
Page Six is reporting that Michael was renting out a property that wasn’t under his name and that the tenant was “tricked’ into paying Michael thousands!
The tenant was no average joe, in fact he is a famous and Hollywood composer named Jonathan Sheffer who has done work for films such as “The Good Shepherd” and “Batman Returns.”
Per the report, Sheffer was “’tricked’ into paying Michael Wainstein $26,700 in rent for a unit at the legendary Apthorp — that he had no right to rent to him.”
It was later learned that the apartment was owned by Michael’s wife (and former RHONY star) Jules. It didn’t stop there, as it was also brought to light that “no one could rent the unit because Jules was three years behind on common charges.”
Hmm…seems as if Michael is familiar with getting himself involved in a lot of shady business! As for the legal issue and the case? Page Six reports that “Michael pocketed the cash knowing that he had no right to rent the unit.”
Michael’s lawyer is doing his job and has publically defended his client. I suppose we will find out if the court agrees with him or if Michael was in the wrong.
On top of this, it has been reported that Michael is already behind on his payments to Jules for their agreed upon monthly spousal and child support payments. Pretty sure this case isn’t going to help with that…
