Kim DePaola aka Kim D has practically been involved in the Real Housewives of New Jersey drama since the beginning. Many of RHONJ’s most dramatic and epic fights took place at her Posche fashion shows, so it’s not surprising that Kim has a lot to say about the current season 7 drama.
AATRH caught up with Kim a while back and chatted about the complicated friendships on the show. In typical Jersey fashion, Kim didn’t hold back and made some rather shocking yet insightful comments about the Jersey Housewives.

All About The Real Housewives: How are you Kim? What have you been up to since fans last saw you?
Kim DePaola: I am great! I opened Posche in a new location. We are now in Allendale, NJ at a gorgeous and bigger space I am co- producer on a new book that will be turning turning mini-series/movie. I have been working on that
for 2 years. I am doing some motivational speaking, working with animal rescue, hosting fashion shows, working on partnering with different brands. You will be seeing a lot more of Kim D. We are working on a lot of projects that I can’t speak about right now but that you will hear about soon.
What is your response to Melissa Gorga calling you a “rat” on Watch What Happens Live?
She didn’t answer the question that Andy asked her. I have no idea why she said that ridiculous comment but she should know what a rat is because she is one and hangs out with rats. That comment she made was as insignificant as she is to me.
Why does Melissa believe you are a rat? Do you know where that accusation is coming from?
I have no idea and I could care less. She should have taken the question on like a woman instead of making such a ridiculous comment. Tell the truth for once and admit to her faults.
What is your current relationship with Teresa Giudice and Kathy Wakile?
I am great friends with Kathy. I am great friends with her whole family! I love Richie Love Rosie. They are really sweet and real people. Teresa and I are still friends but it has been a little bit of a changed friendship and she is not so eager to display it anymore because she is being emotionally blackmailed by her brother and Melissa. Ever since Melissa opened Envy she had to prove her loyalty to her.
You said you’re upset with Melissa for telling people not to shop at Posche. Do you know for certain she’s told people that? Have you confronted her about it?
I know for sure that she told people that. I have confronted her on the show and off. You will see in upcoming episodes.
What do you think of Melissa and Jacqueline’s feud?
I think it was a long time coming. Melissa did Jacqueline dirty many times and Jacqueline kept giving her a pass.
Do you think they can mend their former friendship?
I don’t think so. I think too much has happened for that to occur.
What is your opinion on Melissa and Teresa’s relationship? Are you surprised they’ve made up?
I think its phony and Teresa still can’t stomach the sight of her and no one can tell me anything different on that. You cannot hate someone and not allow them to come see you when you are in prison and then come out and hug and kiss like everything has been okay all along. Don’t believe that at all.
What are your thoughts on the new additions to the RHONJ cast?
Love them. We are good friends for years. I have been friends with Dolores 16 years, and Siggy about 6 years. They are loyal and supportive friends.
Has Posche, and it’s fashion show, been effected by Melissa opening her own boutique and having her own Envy show?
Absolutely not! Sales are better than ever. People come to shop because I am affordable.
Rumors are swirling about Danielle Staub’s possible return to RHONJ – Do you think Bravo should bring her back?
I don’t know and I don’t really have an opinion on that. I think she was good on the show.
What’s next for you?
You will see more Posche fashion shows, hosting opportunities, a book, maybe some more TV. I would love to commentate on fashion like a segment on Fashion Police. I am diving into a lot of projects and you will see more events that I am doing within the store and outside.

While I respect Kim’s opinions I have to say I believe that Tre and Melissa’s reconciliation is real, you can see the difference. It’s not like all the sudden they both became these amazing actresses who can fool us. I think the new relationship between Joe, Melissa and Teresa is 100% real. I am intrigued about the demise of Jacqueline and Melissa’s friendship. It will be interesting to see how that plays out over the next few weeks.
