Cha-Cha-Changes are happening in the Big Apple as Real Housewives of New York newbie Jules Wainstein has confirmed she will not be returning for season 9.
Jules announced her departure from RHONY to The Daily Dish after rumors and speculation spread about her plans for season 9.
“Overall, it was a great experience. I learned so much about myself. I learned so much about the ladies. They’re all successful in different ways. I learned different things from each and every one of them. The best part of it, especially now, [with] what’s going on now, the show really made me feel capable — like I felt like if I didn’t have the show and this was going on I’d kind of feel lost. I feel very strong and like I got a little chutzpah. I feel empowered; it’s a show about women. Listen, I’m going through the worst time in my life, but on the other hand, life isn’t over and even though I’m 35, it could be the beginning.”
While Jules won’t be a full-time Housewife, don’t count out seeing her pop up on the show here and there with BFF Dorinda Medley but as for now, Jules says her main focuses are her family and business.
“Now with everything going on in my personal life, I want to focus on my family, my children, and make sure they are happy and healthy. My children are young and with everything going on, the last thing I want is my divorce to be public, and I have to protect them. I’m not disappearing. You’re gonna see me around [promoting Modern Alkeme].”
Jules departure doesn’t come as a shock for most RHONY fans who have witnessed her marital struggles throughout the season and have read about her contentious divorce from estranged husband Michael all over the internet.
Personally, I will miss Jules on RHONY; she brought something real to the show. Jules let viewers see her struggles and insecurities; she was real. Instead of being a super strong, loud-mouthed Housewife, Jules was slightly awkward, nervous, and was open about her issues, which was a breath of fresh air. I adored Jules, and I will miss her on the show.
