Bethenny Frankel let the cat out of the bag during last night’s season finale of the Real Housewives of New York and finally revealed to Luann de Lesseps that her fiancé Tom D’Agostino cheated on her only days into their engagement.
Now in an odd twist of events, Bethenny is the bad guy, not the cheating fiancé, and is banned from Luann’s upcoming wedding.
In an interview with PEOPLE, Luann opens up about not inviting Bethenny to her wedding and bashes the SkinnyGirl creator for trying to ruin her happiness and engagement!
“It’s hard to invite people that tried to do you harm,” Luann reveals about her decision to NOT invite Bethenny to her New Year’s Eve wedding.
As for Bethenny’s choice to tell her about Tom’s infidelity, Luann says,“It was disgusting. Her handling of the situation – and I go over this at the reunion – was terrible.”
“[They] don’t have my back. She could have went to Dorinda, who introduced us, and said ‘Look I have this.’ [But] she was like the cat who got the canary. Does a good friend do that to you? Someone who has your best interest in mind? No,” Luann explains.
Luann also insinuates that Bethenny was only concerned about good TV and not her feelings saying “It’s not authentic. It’s made for television. And that’s what she is.”
Instead of being angry at her fiancé for cheating, Luann says she immediately started to think about Bethenny’s motivation for revealing this news to her.
“It got very private investigative reporting for me. Not only does she have a picture – she calls the hotel [and] she’s got this timestamp. And she digs and digs and digs for this information and then tells the other women without telling me?”
The Countess is especially pissed that Bethenny attempted to call Tom directly.
“She should’ve talked to me first.Not the other women, not tried to call Tom, but talk to me. I find that very bizarre. It’s terrible. That’s not somebody who has your best interest in mind – that’s someone who has their own agenda.”
While wrapping up the interview, Luann further slams Bethenny calling her unhappy.
“I think she’s just unhappy. As you can see throughout the series, she’s an unhappy person. If she’s not going after me, she’s going after Sonja, Dorinda and John, or Jules. It’s one person to the next.”
Oh, Luann I have so much to say. I’m 100% Team Bethenny on this! I don’t have any time for delusional Housewives who put men they’ve known 5 minutes before friends. Luann wants to live in a delusional little bubble with Tom where she turns a blind eye to his cheating and lies! Luann is disgusting for putting the blame on Bethenny! Tom cheated, Bethenny just told her the truth and was a good friend. I’m so over Luann.
